To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
I am so, so thankful for the times in my life. I know they are perfect, placed exactly where and when they need to be. It's such a comfort to know that God is in control---things always end up way better than I could ever imagine!
Lots of special moments to catch up on, so this will be a post that takes me a couple of days. Here we go...
Let me start by asking a question: Do you know how absolutely difficult it is to get a bee to be still while you take its picture?!?!?! LOL : ) In case you've never tried it, it's really hard. It all ended well though. I liked the picture of the bee flying away better anyway! (Isn't it fun?)
Another question: Don't you just love people who constantly have bizarre, random thoughts? I'm so glad I never have that problem, LOL ; )
So, as I said earlier....lots to catch up on. It may not all be in order, but I guess that's alright. Kobe had a field trip to the Georgia Aquarium recently. It was our first trip there, and we really enjoyed it--such a neat place. I love sea critters! It was fun seeing Kobe's reaction to being able to touch different things (rays, sharks, etc).
I forgot to post a picture of my sweethearts, Sully and Tex, when it snowed. They had fun!
Hannah's husband had a birthday at the end of February (yes, it actually was his real birthday), so we had to bake a cake for him in the Easy Bake Oven. We used real cake batter and made homemade icing. Trust me, it was sooooo much better than the mix that comes with those ovens. (Easy Bake Oven mixes=YUCK!!!) After the cake was baked and decorated, we had to light a candle and sing "Happy Birthday". I had to explain to Hannah that we couldn't put over 30 candles on that little cake, and I was able to convince her to use just one. After all, Jason is #1 to Hannah. Clever, huh? LOL : )
Our new neighbors have a precious little cat, but I think it's confused about where it lives. She seems to think that she's supposed to invite herself into our house and eat Max's food. I'm sure that I'm part of the problem because, boy, she sure is sweet and I have a hard time not letting her visit with us! She discovered where the dog food was when I was feeding Sully and Tex the other night. Do you think she can eat it all? Very ambitious ; )
Our membership to the Tellus Museum just expired, but before it did, we took the kids to visit again. They really enjoy going there, so I'm sure it won't be their last time. Be sure to check out the two-headed astronaut....very attractive, ha ha!
Kobe started playing soccer last month. So far, he really seems to enjoy it. I'm glad that he's trying it.....never hurts to experience new things.
The kids have a trampoline at my parents' house now. They absolutely love it!!! I think they would jump all day if they could get away with it, which is a good thing---much better than TV or video games. Of course, I think the adults secretly enjoy it too. I even got bold enough to try a flip on there not too long ago. Kobe thought it was cool that his mom could flip. If only it would always be that easy to be considered a "cool mom", LOL! I doubt that will work in a few years.
Hannah has continued to sing as usual. She's constantly going to Hollywood on American Idol and loves to play her guitar. Too funny! When Hannah isn't singing, dancing, or playing her guitar, it's very likely that she's listening to a Jason Aldean CD or watching the music videos.
Well, I'm pretty tired but I'd like to finish this post tonight, so I think I'll just do some quick notes and finish posting my pictures. Thanks for visiting : )
