WE DO NOT STOP PLAYING BECAUSE WE GROW OLD; WE GROW OLD BECAUSE WE STOP PLAYING.

Today has been such a great day! There wasn't anywhere we had to be or anything that had to be done, well...other than the usual chores, but what fun are those?!?!?

Curtis went to Highland Park with a friend. He had such a good time at Durhamtown last weekend that he was ready to go riding again. The kids and I went several places after church.

We started out by going to see the kitten that my brother found at work. It's a 4-5 week old female that is precious---small and fuzzy, hard not to love. She's still not eating solid food very well, so she's taking kitten formula from a medicine dropper. It's just like having a newborn baby, kinda.

After that, we went to the strawberry patch to pick strawberries---one of my favorite things to do! We also got homemade ice cream.....so good.

This was the first time I went by myself with both of the kids. It was a little hectic, but we managed and had a really great time.

Hannah left with red from head to toe! Kobe got my camera and decided to take all kinds of pictures. I have photos of cars driving by, half of his face, the side of my car, a little of everything!

While I was putting Hannah in the car, Kobe went to get two bottles of water. I gave him $5.00 and each bottle of water should have only been $1.00.

Well, he came back with no money. He ended up buying more strawberries (after we picked 6 1/2 lbs.) so that he could take some to his uncle Kevin. Then he tipped the lady the remaining 50 cents. He has such a big heart and good intentions. All I could do was laugh at him!

Next, we went to the library so that the kids could get more books for the summer reading program.

They played on the castle in the children's department and argued over who would hand the library card to the girl at the counter. We settled it by Hannah giving her the card and Kobe taking it back from her.

And of course, everyone had to have books to carry out because it wouldn't be fair for only one person to get to.

We ended our afternoon by taking Kevin his strawberries and going to Wal-mart for one last pack of diapers. Potty training is almost complete, but I felt like we needed one more pack for long car rides (just in case!).

Curtis didn't have quite as great of a day. He rode his bike for a while and then ended up having an unfortunate collision between his bottom and the bike seat. Now he's having a little trouble moving around. Maybe the next time he goes will be a little better!

I have a few friends who have blogs and it seems pretty neat, so I thought "why not?". There's no telling how this will turn out, but here I go anyway!!!

Tonight we spent time out in the yard playing and grilling. Lately the kids love to blow bubbles, so of course we did that. They also think it's pretty amusing to try to stand on their heads. We always get a good laugh out of this, and sometimes the whole family joins in.....well, maybe not the whole family (it required some creative photography to get the 4th one to do it!).
