What a week!!! It consisted of a little of everything...fun, fatigue, smiles, injuries...you name it, I experienced it :) That's what makes life all worthwhile, huh?
My darling youngest child seems to be an accident waiting to happen. She decided (after I told her to get down from the bucket she was climbing on) to climb her brother's desk. Apparently the trip up went well, but I can't say the same for the trip down. I was hoping that our visit to the ER for stitches in May would be the last one for a long time. So much for that ;)
She cried a lot to begin with, but she wasn't slowed down for too long. Hannah decided that she needed to slide around on the floor in her socks while waiting on the doctor (at 11:00 at night). She just giggled and said, "me and Tobe (Kobe) do this all the time!"
Luckily nothing was broken---just bruised and swollen. She still looks pretty pitiful today.
I was tired by the end of the week. It's sad to say, but I honestly can't even remember what I did Friday night. I'm pretty sure that I just put on my pajamas and did some cleaning and relaxing at home, but who knows?!?!?
Saturday was a great day. I started out by going to the Twice Is Nice sale. I bought about 25 things for the kids, some of them being 2-piece sets, for $54.00. I loved it. I'm such a bargain hunter! Mid-day Saturday was spent doing some more things around the house, spending time with the kids, and getting ready to go to Mandi's house to hang out with the girls.
I had such a good time Saturday evening. There ended up being eight of us at Mandi's house, plus two little ones (great new house by the way!). We gossiped, ate, gossiped some more, ate some more, and that was about it. How perfect was that?!?! :)
Hannah provided some of the entertainment. She sang and danced. The girl's got moves!!! She also took a lot of pictures---not quite as impressive as the dancing skills :)
I was very lazy Sunday. We went out to lunch then I spent most of the day at the computer trying to put all of my pictures from my cell phone, digital camera and video camera onto a CD, creating some projects at Shutterfly.com (really neat website by the way), and farming. I'm afraid I enjoy Farmville on Facebook a little more than I should admit. Good stress relief.
I was so glad I figured out how to move the pictures from my cell phone to the computer. I had some pictures on there that I really like. Yep, you got it...I'm about to share them... (then I think I'll go to bed---good night!)

OK...so I've gotten a little behind on the blog. Oops! Well, hopefully I'll do better. The last month or so has been pretty hectic with Kobe starting back to school. There's always so much to do to prepare for the next day---homework, etc.
So far this school year has gone pretty well for Kobe. He seems to enjoy it and he's done very well on all of his work. And, he's only gotten in trouble for talking about three or four times. Much better than last year. (I can't imagine why he would be a talker. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone in this house to talk---wink, wink!)
We took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese in August. They had a really great time. Hannah stayed in the toddler section most of the time while Kobe played the bigger games. Kobe was such a good big brother at the end of the trip when it came time to cash in their tickets. He gave Hannah all of his so that she could get a better prize. I was really proud of him. Such a big heart!
Nikki and I had a girls' night out last month. I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with her. It seems like there's never enough time to keep up with people. She went with me to get my tattoo finished. It ended up quite a bit larger than I planned, but I'm very happy with the outcome anyway. Very pretty! Curtis asked me if I would still like it when I'm 60 years old. I told him "Yes, I will. Besides, by then my skin will probably start to wrinkle and sag, so it'll eventually be like having an entirely new tattoo!". I'm not so sure that he was as amused by the answer as I was. Oh well, gotta look on the bright side!
The picture has a glare on it, and after a few weeks the blue has toned down some, but this is the only picture I've got for now.
Speaking of girl time...Hannah and I had a Friday to ourselves last month. We went shopping, baked cookies, and did some other fun things. She loved putting icing on the cookies. She insisted that we put sprinkles on them also, but when it came time to eat the cookies, we had to take the sprinkles off of hers before she would eat it. Not quite sure about her thought process on that, but at least she had fun!
I think she may have eaten more icing than what she actually put on the cookies! (I may have tasted it a few times too, but I don't think she caught me on camera. Nobody can prove it!)
Kobe was baptized at the end of August. He was very excited. I love to hear him explain all of it because children keep things so simple and beautiful!
Hannah went to Caden's birthday party a few weeks ago. She and I both had fun. There was a big inflatable slide that she had to have help on (and boy, let me tell you...I was really upset about having to slide down it with her!!!) She behaved well and played hard. After the party I took her to the mall and let her play and eat lunch there. Kobe was camping all weekend and had a really good time.
Our most recent adventure was going to the family reunion yesterday. We ate, visited with family, caught frogs and went fishing---too much fun :)

Aren't they cute?!?!?!
Kobe like taking pictures just as much as he enjoyed fishing. I think he took a picture of each one that we caught. I caught the first one. He was so tiny! You can tell by the picture that he was just about swallowed up by my hand when I took him off of the hook (which I am very proud of by the way---I never have taken a fish off of a hook without holding a towel around it to avoid direct contact. I was brave this time!!!)
Hannah gradually got closer and closer to the water, and I guess the rest of the story is pretty obvious. Yes, she ended up walking in the water, and yes, she ended up falling down and getting her bottom wet and muddy. Then, when I told her it was time to go, she decided to take off across the lake. Luckily, the part where we were at was drying up a good bit, so the water was not even as deep as her waist. I had to send Kobe out after her since they both had a change of clothes with them. I was mad at her for not listening to me (and a little nervous about not knowing how deep the water would be and what was in it), but once I knew they were fine, it was hard to stay that way when hearing them giggle and seeing the smiles on their faces :)

Well, that's a brief overview of all that's happened since the last post. I'm sure I've left out a lot of fun details, but it's late and I'm tired. Sleep well!
