Fun, fun, fun....I love to have fun!!!!!
The last couple of weeks have been busy, but I sure have enjoyed them. Baby showers, museums, ballgames, cookouts----lots of things. I'm so, so blessed to be able to share fun times with great people.
We had a baby shower at work for my buddy, Brittany. She's so precious! I just love her (even though she is running away to another office soon---grrrrr!!!). It's always great to have time with co-workers where you're not stressing over work. And, it's always fun to make diaper cakes. I know, I know....sounds gross, but they're really cute!
A few days later, we had a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Abbi. Two diaper cakes in one week----I'm a lucky girl!!! I also got to make an "I'm the big sister" t-shirt for Jamison :) Hannah was so excited about helping get things ready for the party. Kobe spent the afternoon with Curtis. They went to lunch and Putt-Putt, along with a few other places, and seemed to have fun.
That evening we went to a cookout at Julie and Adam's house with others from our Sunday School class. I really enjoyed that---they're all great people! The kids played really well together, so the adults actually got to socialize a good bit.
That was pretty much it for the last week or two as far as social gatherings go. However, we found plenty of other things to do.
The kids have played outside a lot. The swing set at Poppa and Mawmaw's house is something they enjoy (and the new puppy, Heidi).
At home, riding their scooters and laying in the yard seem to be the favorite activities.
Yesterday we went to the Tellus Museum again. Grammy went with us this time.
I went out with Mandi Saturday night. Very fun! She got a tattoo and we went out to dinner. She did really great with the tattoo and it turned out pretty. She tried to convince me to get another one, but I managed to avoid the temptation! Maybe next time...
Today is Mother's Day. Curtis and the kids had cards with money for me (for my solo trip coming up in June), Curtis went and got breakfast for me, and Kobe and Hannah also had some pictures and things that they made. It was all really sweet.
After Sunday School we went to my parents' house to wish Grammy a Happy Mother's Day. Hannah stayed with her while Kobe and I went to the Rome Braves game (Curtis had to work all weekend). The game was fun and I really enjoyed having that time with Kobe.
Once the game was over, we went back to my parents' house to get Hannah. Kobe wanted to roll down the hill at the ballgame, but I told him he could do that at their house instead. I told him he could do it only one time, but somehow it turned into more than that and I became involved in the fun---oops! We even convinced Kevin to roll down with us one time :)
We ended our day by going to wish Mawmaw a Happy Mother's Day. The kids played in the yard at their house and then again at our house before showering and settling in for the night.
I have the greatest kids ever---so full of life! What a blessing :)
